How to Pray for the Love
A reader recently wrote and suggested
that some instructions on how to pray/meditate would be beneficial.
She had been reading the messages for some time and has yet to
experience the inflowing of the Father’s Love. I thought her
suggestion was an excellent one and recalled from my past that I had
written some suggestions in my journal to help myself connect with
the Father more intensely. It seems that I wrote these suggestions
right after having a particularly strong connection with the Father
and receiving a great inflowing of His Love.
Before presenting what I had written in my journal I would like to
mention that every soul has a unique and individual relationship to
God. Your experience may be completely different from my own
experience. I am the kind of person who likes to prepare and have a
formal time and setting for prayer. This is certainly not necessary
and even a thought rising to the Father, wanting to be at-one with
Him, is a form of prayer. In fact, my goal is be to be in a state of
grace and prayer all throughout the day – while at my job or
shopping at the supermarket. So, what I am about to share with you
is something that has worked for me and are simply guidelines. Take
those parts that resonate with your own soul and leave the rest.
Schedule:
I schedule formal prayer three times a day for 20 minutes each. This
is my goal which is not always achieved. My morning prayer takes
place while driving into work. Believe it or not, I have had some
really intense prayers while driving – so it can be done. My
afternoon prayer is during my lunch break and my evening prayer is
more formal with a specific location and time. The specific time of
20 minutes is, again, a goal. Sometimes I won't reach 20 minutes and
other times I will pray for hours. The important point is to have a
goal and try to stick to a particular schedule. If you can make it a
part of your daily routine, you will be more likely to continue.
Location:
During my formal prayer in the evening I have a semi-private place
that I pray with certain tools that help me, from time to time, get
into a state of openness and “Being in the Love”. For example, I sit
on a small pillow which is on the floor in the lotus position (half
lotus position to be more accurate – just having your legs crossed).
There is a small chest in front of me with a single candle on the
chest. The candle flame provides an object for me to focus on so
that I can occupy my mind while exercising my soul.
Mindset:
This section includes the notes that I had written in my journal.
What was not included, which I think is important, is to have no
expectations. I definitely have a purpose in praying – to have a
strong, close relationship with God and become closer to Him through
reception of His Divine Love. But I don’t have any expectations with
regard to what I am going to experience. Expectations can be a form
of control and if you are expecting a burning sensation in your
chest, you are not allowing yourself to be open to other ways that
the Father may bless you. So be completely open and make it ok for
nothing physical or spiritual to happen. Be gentle with yourself and
enjoy the experience of being centered and raising your energy. When
I first started praying I didn’t have any strong physical or
spiritual experiences. I simply felt peace. Often, towards the end
of the prayer, I felt so at peace, that I would lie my head down,
close my eyes and just drift off.
This is a time for you to connect with God. Praying for others is
important and has its own rewards, for you and those you pray for.
However, that topic can be discussed in another document. This
document is about you connecting with God.
Here is what I wrote in my journal:
1) You must have faith. You must have faith in God.
This means faith to know that your life is going to turn out just
great. Faith to know that wherever He leads you, it will be for the
best. And faith to know that the Divine Love is waiting to be
bestowed into your soul and will enter into your soul if properly
asked.
2) You must ask for help. Whenever I have tried to do
things on my own, I don’t get as great a feedback as if I asked for
help. Jesus said that we can’t do it alone, and my trip to CO taught
me that this is so. Therefore, you must be humble when going to the
Lord and ask for help from your brothers and sisters. For they will
help you in the Love.
3) You must pray for the right reasons. Is the reason to
be ahead of everyone else - to be a member of an elite group, a
select few (referring to the Celestials)? Or is the reason to be
at-one with God, to be in His Love forever. Are you praying for
advancement or praying because you Love God?
4) You must thank Him for what he has given you in your
life. Truly understand and appreciate this wonderful world and
people around you. He has given all this to mankind because He Loves
us very much. So truly appreciate everything He has given you and
thank Him for it.
5) You must be open and relaxed. You can’t let the
stresses from the outside world in. For the stresses automatically
put up a wall to the inflowing of the Father’s Love. The Love will
not come in if you have negative thoughts or are thinking about
something else, and are letting stresses get to you. All these walls
must be brought down and you must open yourself to the inflowing of
His Love.
There are two more points that I would like to make in addition to
what has been mentioned above. First, in my experience, and
discussions I have had with others who are on the path to the
Celestial Kingdom, there seems to be an ebb and flow to our
progression – the Love flows intensely for awhile and then there is
a period when the Love is not felt as intensely. This seems to be a
normal process and there is nothing that you are doing “wrong”.
Secondly, in my personal experience, I have noticed that if I do not
give my love to others, then I will reach a plateau in receiving the
Love. It is important not only to ask for and receive God’s Divine
Love, but give your love to others.
I hope that this document helps you in connecting with God. I have
included a short introductory prayer and the Prayer Perfect below. I
use the introductory prayer to teach the spirits, and ask for help
in preparing my soul. On occasion, if I need more preparation time
to release the stresses of the day, I will meditate for a period to
center myself before going to the Father. After the prayer I will
sometimes hold the thought of asking for God’s Divine Love. At other
times, when I am in need of specific guidance, I will clear my mind
and ask for help and assistance with a particular question I may be
struggling with. Or, I may simply communicate to the Father that I
am open to any guidance that He may be willing to communicate
through His angels.
If you have any questions or would like to share your experience
with others in receiving the Father’s Love, I welcome your email.
Love and blessings to you each,
Rev. Michael Nedbal
Teaching the spirits
Dear angels, we ask that if there are any spirits here who are not
open to the Truths of the Father’s Love that they be taken back to
their homes in the spirit world until they can return in harmony and
learn about God’s Divine Love. For those spirits who remain, we
welcome you each to join with us in prayer and thanksgiving to the
Father for His Divine Love. We ask that our souls be in ascendancy
over our minds. We ask to know the Truth and to let go of all that
is not in harmony with the Love. And we ask to be surrounded by
Light and Love.
The Prayer Perfect
Our Father, who art in heaven, we recognize:
That Thou art--art all holy and loving and merciful, and that we are
the children of Thy care, and not the subservient, sinful and
depraved creatures that our false teachers would have us believe.
That we are the greatest of Thy creations and the most wonderful of
all Thy handiwork's, and that we are the objects of Thy great Soul's
love and tenderest care.
That Thy will is that we become at one with Thee and partake of Thy
great love which Thou hast bestowed upon us through Thy mercy and
desire that we become, in truth, Thy children--and not through the
sacrifice and death of any one of Thy creatures.
That Thou will open up our souls to the inflowing of Thy love, and
that then will come Thy Holy Spirit to bring into our souls, this,
Thy love in great abundance until our souls may be transformed into
the very essence of Thyself; and that there may come to us
faith--such faith as will cause us to realize that we are truly Thy
children and that we are one with Thee in very substance and not in
image only.
Let us have such faith as will cause us to know that Thou art our
Father and the bestower of every good and perfect gift, and that
only we, ourselves, can prevent Thy love changing us from the mortal
to the immortal.
Let us never cease to realize that Thy love is waiting for each and
all of us, and that when we come to Thee with faith and earnest
aspirations, Thy love will never be withholden from us.
Keep us in the shadow of Thy love every hour and moment of our
lives, and help us to overcome all temptations of the flesh and the
influence of the powers of the evil ones who so constantly surround
us and endeavor to turn our thoughts away from Thee to the pleasures
and allurements of this world.
We thank Thee for Thy love and for the possibility of receiving it,
and believe that Thou art our Father--the loving Father Who smiles
upon us in our weakness, and is always ready to help us and take us
to Thy arms of love.
We pray thus with all the earnestness and longings of our soul, and
trusting in Thy love give Thee all the glory and honor and love that
our finite souls can give.
-Amen
